Details Itinerary

Namaste, and welcome to Dehradun! Today marks the first day of your trek. Early in the morning, you’ll meet our representatives in Dehradun, and we’ll begin our unique yoga spirit trek in the serene embrace of the Himalayas.

Both yoga and trekking are powerful practices that heal the body and build strength, both internally and externally. Yoga revitalizes your body, mind, and spirit, and when practiced in the pure, unspoiled surroundings of the Himalayas, its benefits are greatly enhanced. Trekking naturally builds resilience, and when combined with yoga, it further elevates the experience.

Once the entire group assembles in Dehradun, we’ll embark on a drive to Natin Village, located at an altitude of 7,400 ft, approximately 180 km from Dehradun. The journey takes about 5-6 hours. Natin, a small settlement in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, often serves as the base camp for the Dayara Bugyal trek. Surrounded by lush greenery, Natin offers stunning views of Mt. Shrikanth, Mt. Jaunli, and the mystical Gangotri Range.

The drive to Natin is picturesque, with the Bhagirathi River flowing alongside the road. Upon arrival in Natin, we’ll settle into the guesthouse for the night.

How-Yoga-Meditation-Looks-On-Day-1

Begin your day with a cleansing Yogic practice, followed by Asana, Pranayama, and Meditation. Yoga is a sacred journey of self-discovery and personal growth, and practicing amidst nature enhances this connection, bringing you closer to your inner wisdom and source of joy. The natural world is one of the most powerful forms of healing, and a trek through the serene, untouched beauty of the Himalayan mountains, combined with spiritual practices, offers a transformative experience. The pristine and sacred environment of the Himalayas is perfect for relaxation, rejuvenation, and de-stressing the mind and body.

After your morning yoga session, enjoy a Sattvic breakfast followed by a nourishing Sattvic lunch. Yoga practitioners believe that a Sattvic diet promotes purity, harmony, health, and well-being. This diet includes seasonal fruits, vegetables, whole grains, pulses, sprouts, dried nuts, and is prepared and consumed with love and gratitude.

In the evening, unwind with a rest and reflection session. This self-reflection helps release negative beliefs and thoughts, fostering a deep sense of inner awareness and spiritual growth.

After refreshments, you will practice Gentle Yoga or Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation technique that induces profound relaxation. The day will conclude with dinner around 7:30 PM, followed by a Satsang or cultural activity, such as a bonfire night, before retiring for the night.

How-Yoga-Meditation-Looks-On-Day-2

This morning, we’ll begin with a Yoga session, just like the previous day, followed by a Sattvic Breakfast to energize us for the day ahead. After breakfast, we’ll embark on our trek to Gui/Chilpada, ascending from an altitude of 7400 feet to 9500 feet. The trek is an easy, gradual climb that takes about 4 to 5 hours, leading us through stunning Himalayan meadows. Our campsite is surrounded by alpine trees, and from here, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Gangotri Range and the Bandarpoonch peak.

Trekking in the mountains is a powerful practice for yogic practitioners, as the towering peaks connect us to the ancient rhythms of the Earth. The serene beauty of the Himalayas and the rich cultural experience deepen our bond with nature and nurture a sense of community. The mountains, firm and unyielding, offer us a reflection of life’s deeper truths, making the Himalayas an ideal sanctuary for nourishing the mind, body, and soul.

After dinner at the campsite, we’ll either gather for a Satsang session or enjoy a celebratory bonfire, before retreating to our camps for a peaceful night under the stars.

How-Yoga-Meditation-Looks-On-Day-3

Today, we will trek to the stunning Dayara Meadows, located at an altitude of 12,100 feet. This vast expanse of alpine grasslands is adorned with trails lined by Rhododendrons, Pine, Oak, and Maple trees. In the summer, the meadows come alive with vibrant wildflowers in shades of yellow, violet, and white, stretching across the landscape.

The trail to the summit is moderately easy, and from the top, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Bandarpunch peak, Kala Nag, and a bird’s eye view of Dodital. The experience of trekking through this awe-inspiring terrain is both transformative and liberating. This journey through the Himalayas is centered on mindfulness, promoting physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.

We’ll have a packed lunch along the way, and after spending some time in the tranquil Dayara Meadows, soaking in the serenity of the mountains, we will descend back to Gui. There, we’ll spend the night in our camps, reflecting on the day’s journey..

How-Yoga & Meditation-Looks-On-Day-4

We’ll begin the day with Pranayama and Meditation, taking time to breathe deeply, relax, and be present in the moment. After a nourishing Sattvic breakfast around 9 AM, we’ll start our descent towards Natin Village. We’ll have lunch along the way, and once we reach Natin, we’ll enjoy some refreshments in the evening.

In the evening, we will practice Yin Yoga, a slower, meditative form of yoga that encourages deep inner connection. This practice helps you tune in to both physical and mental sensations, allowing you to enter a state of profound relaxation.

Following the yoga session, we’ll enjoy a Sattvic tea and later, a Sattvic dinner. We’ll conclude the day with a Satsang session, offering space for reflection and introspection..

How-Yoga & Meditation-Looks-On-Day-5

We’ll begin the day with Asanas and Pranayamas, followed by a concluding ceremony to honor our journey. After a Sattvic breakfast, we’ll depart for Gangotri.

Our first stop will be the revered Gangotri Temple, where we’ll pay our respects. We’ll also visit Gagnani, a serene town near Uttarkashi, perfect for nature lovers and those on a spiritual path. Gagnani is known for its hot water spring, believed to have healing properties. Many pilgrims bathe in the spring before visiting the Gangotri shrine, and you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip here as well. The area also offers breathtaking mountain views, adding to its peaceful ambiance.

After paying homage at the Gangotri Temple, we’ll head towards Dehradun. This retreat will end with a profound connection to our authentic selves, empowered and nourished by nature.

The purpose of this retreat is to help you reconnect with your true self, unplug from the hustle and bustle of life, and experience a deep detox—physically, mentally, and spiritually.
